Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown has a bright idea for increasing voter participation in elections: automatic voter registration.
The system would rely on the records of several state agencies, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, to alert the secretary of state’s office when someone turns 18 and is eligible to vote.
