City council approves a site plan and hopes to bid out the project in first quarter of 2013

Station taking shape —
The site plan for a new fire station, adopted by the Dundee City Council on Aug. 7, calls for keeping the existing station until the new is fully constructed, then tearing down the old station and putting in a parking lot where it once stood.
   Dundee’s new fire station is a few steps closer to fruition after the city council approved a site plan and secured a temporary loan for construction costs at its Aug.
