Bypass clears its last major hurdle ... maybe

Local transportation — The Federal Highway Administration approves the final environmental impact study, clearing the way for construction to begin in ‘2013 or earlier’

  The Newberg-Dundee bypass, and the relief from congestion it is expected to provide in both towns for which the project is named, took a major step toward becoming a reality June 6 when the Federal High Administration informed the Oregon Department of Transportation that it had signed a Record of Decision for the Tier 2 Final Environmental Impact Statement.
