Try it at home —
Prolonged stretching will yield more hamstring flexibility and, therefore, more range of motion.
   Dear Colin: My orthopedist told me that I need to “lengthen” my hamstring muscles to help alleviate my ongoing knee pain, so my physical therapist has been really working on them and having me stretch every day for three to five minutes several times each side.
