Hostetler is primed for the Olympic Trials

Track and field — Newberg native has a clear path to London after hitting the ‘A’ standard last year

London bound? —
Newberg native and former University of Oregon star Cyrus Hostetler will chase his Olympic dreams in the preliminary round of the javelin on Saturday at the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials in Eugene. Having already achieved the Olympic ‘A’ standard, Hostetler will likely qualify for the London games if he can advance to Monday’s finals.
   EUGENE – After he suffered serious knee injuries in 2009 and 2010, things are finally going according to plan for javelin standout Cyrus Hostetler.
