Goodwill grand opening doesn’t disappoint

Thousands of bargain hunters and curious residents descend on Newberg’s newly opened store

Hundreds of bargain hunters swarmed into Newberg’s new Goodwill store during the first hours it was open to the public Thursday morning. “It was nuts,” laughed Dale Emanuel, a spokeswoman for the regional non-profit Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette.
   Employees of Newberg’s first Goodwill store, which began a four-day grand opening celebration at 7 a.
