Tarby, an 8-year-old Samoyed, was killed after reportedly harassing a chicken on someone else’s property. His owner, Scott Johnson (pictured), called the dog ‘his best friend.’
The law, by definition, paints with a broad brush. It must, for how else could government work? To account for every minute variation of circumstance that could occur within the purview of a given law would require countless hours of research and debate — and nothing within our legislative branches would ever get done (insert obligatory joke about congressional gridlock here).
