   Situations like the fourth quarter of Saturday night’s OSAA Class 6A second-round state playoff game are exactly why Newberg coach Mark Vernon put his team through a rigorous pre-season schedule.   After Centennial point guard Tyler Pannell’s second deep three-pointer of the game trimmed the lead to 52-50 early in the fourth quarter, the Tigers responded as if they had been preparing for the moment all year.


Bruins defeat UPS again to advance in NCAA tourney

Alex Stockner tabbed as NWC’s top forward by conference coaches
